Job summary

Stonebridge Companies in Texas is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness and order in our kitchen, pantry, and storage areas. The role supports all outlets and banquet spaces by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and equipment.

You will wash and sanitize dishes, monitor dishwashing equipment, follow health regulations, and assist with event setup and teardown. Strong attention to detail and ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or stewarding role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, pantry, and storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Monitor the dishwashing machine for proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Assist in transporting food and equipment to banquet and dining areas as needed.
• Follow health department regulations and hotel standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with local regulations.
• Restock dishes, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen and service areas.
• Communicate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of kitchen equipment.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and wiping down surfaces.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen equipment for events.
