Responsibilities

• Prepare cold dishes like salads, appetizers, canapés, and cold platters.

• Manage storage, stock the walk-in, label items, and monitor temps.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and follow safety guidelines.

Summary:

TheKitchen Staff Garde Manger IIis responsible for preparing and displaying cold foods, such as salads, charcuterie, and appetizers, within a restaurant kitchen. This role typically involves preparing ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing cold dishes like salads, appetizers, canapés, and cold platters.
• Creating visually appealing displays and platters for banquets or other events.
• Managing food storage, including stocking and organizing the walk-in refrigerator, labeling items, and monitoring temperatures.
• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare food.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, following safety and sanitation procedures, and ensuring food handling guidelines are adhered to.
• Chopping, portioning, and storing ingredients before use.
• May be involved in menu planning and development, especially in utilizing leftovers.
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to the drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free policies of the company.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:
