A franchisee-owned restaurant in Sikeston, Missouri is looking for a skilled kitchen staff member to help ensure efficient kitchen operations. This role requires a hardworking individual who can manage various kitchen tasks such as food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Kitchen Staff, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role in the Hospitality industry.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred.
• Ability to work on weekends and nights.

Responsabilités

• Organizing the kitchen station with all the required equipment.
• Ensuring all the ingredients are fresh.
• Washing, chopping, shredding, and grating ingredients.
• Plating and garnishing food items.
• Ensuring the dish looks presentable and attractive.
• Storing food properly in cold storage.
• Checking kitchen inventory and restocking as needed.
• Keeping the kitchen clean and sanitized.
• Assisting kitchen staff and reporting mishaps.
• Helping in unloading deliveries.
• Maintaining health code standards.
• Adhering to food hygiene and sanitation.

Description du poste

Our kitchen is looking for a skilled kitchen staff member to join our existing team. You will be tasked with doing your part to help our restaurant operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. This will require you to be adaptable and willing to do a little bit of everything that our kitchen needs to do its best work.

For example, you may be asked to assist with food preparation, clean the kitchen, wash dishes, prepare simple meals, and more. To find success in this role, you will need to be adaptable, hard-working, and willing to take direction. You should also be comfortable with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing the kitchen station with all the required equipment.
• Ensuring all the ingredients are fresh.
• Washing, chopping, shredding, and grating ingredients as requested by the Head Chef.
• Plating and garnishing the food items.
• Ensuring the dish looks presentable and attractive.
• Storing the food properly in the cold storage.
• Checking the kitchen inventory and restocking the items as and when needed.
• Ensuring the kitchen is always clean and sanitized.
• Assisting the Kitchen Assistants, Cooks, Chefs, and other team members.
• Reporting any mishaps in the kitchen to the Kitchen Manager.
• Helping in the unloading of deliveries.
• Maintaining all areas to health code standards.
• Adhering to all the food hygiene and sanitation.
