Job summary

Allen Tharp LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support Lackland Air Force Base facilities with repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of food service (kitchen) equipment. The role requires diagnosing faults, reading schematics, and performing electrical and mechanical work on site in Texas.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and 5+ years in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, with strong troubleshooting and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of commercial food service equipment repairs.
• Experience with electrical control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics.
• Ability to operate a computer and software.
• Ability to perform calculations.
• Diagnose and resolve problems.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Preferred five+ years in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in food service and refrigeration systems.
• Install and relocate equipment as required.
• Repair controls, thermostats, switches, and wiring.
• Fabricate and install electrical wiring and piping.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Receive and complete work orders; estimate materials.
