Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Michigan is seeking a General Utility to maintain clean kitchen areas, equipment, plateware and utensils, and assist in food preparation as needed.

This role supports the dishwashing station, helps with prep, and contributes to a safe, sanitary work environment in a fast-paced restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and loads the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash to dumpster area.
• Washes work area tables, walls, equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down the dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times daily.
• Places plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves.
• Works indoors most of the time; occasionally outdoors.
• Works in a hot and damp environment.
• Responds to emergencies to prevent danger.
