Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Port Huron, MI is seeking a General Utility to maintain kitchen areas, equipment, plateware and utensils in a clean, sanitary condition and assist in food preparation. You will support a fast-paced team and align with our core values while performing essential prep and dish duties.

The role requires physical tasks, standing for long periods, and readiness to work in hot or damp environments as part of daily operations at our Port Huron location.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and uses the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Washes work area tables, walls, equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Works indoors often, outdoors occasionally.
