Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide to assist the cook with food preparation and presentation at our Morgantown, West Virginia facility. You will also manage the dishwashing area and help maintain overall cleanliness of dishes, silverware, and glassware, supporting the dining operation as needed.

The role includes assisting with dining room service, stocking shelves, and reporting concerns to a supervisor, with emphasis on safe food handling and resident-focused service

Qualifications

• Demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry heavy objects.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and proper use of kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items as requested. Portion and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning the kitchen, including floors and kitchen equipment.
• Set up and operate the dishwashing operation, keeping the dishwasher clean and free of debris.
• Clean pots and pans as needed.
• Check water temperatures and maintain sanitation equipment.
• Remove and dispose of all garbage.
• Assist with dining room service as needed, including pouring beverages.
• Replace paper towels and clean hand sinks.
• Stock food on shelves and in refrigerators.
• Report problems or concerns in the kitchen or dining room to the supervisor.
• Attend all required in-service training and staff meetings.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
