Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Charleston, SC is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide to assist the cook with food preparation and presentation in our dining operation. You will manage dishwashing, keep dishes and kitchen areas clean, and support dining room service as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing items, portioning salads and desserts, cleaning kitchen and equipment, setting up and running the dishwashing area, maintaining sanitation, stocking shelves, and reporting issues to a supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, kneel and walk for extended periods.
• Good organizational and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and apply them to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparation and presentation of food.
• Handle dishwashing area and cleanliness of dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Stock food on shelves and in refrigerator; report problems to supervisor.
• Set up and run dishwashing operation; maintain sanitation equipment.
• Assist with dining room service and beverage pouring as needed.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.
