Job summary

Southcoast Health is hiring a Kitchen Porter at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. Evening shift, 4:00pm–8:00pm, with weekend and holiday rotation; 8-hour shifts.

Duties include washing and sanitizing pots, pans and utensils, taking out trash, cleaning floors, and general sanitation to support the Food & Nutrition Services team. Candidates should follow written instructions, have basic food safety knowledge, and be prepared for vaccination requirements or approved exemptions.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Experience with proper food safety/sanitary procedures are preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt by signing a statement.

Responsibilities

• Washing and sanitizing pots/pans/utensils, taking out the trash, cleaning floors and general sanitation.

Hours: 8hrs

Shift: Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Manager Culinary or Operations Manager, Food & Nutrition Services or designee. Principally provides the duties of washing and sanitizing pots / pans / utensils, taking out the trash, cleaning of the floors and general sanitation. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $16.47 - USD $23.41 /Hr.
