Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Porter to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation in the kitchen at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, MA. The role involves washing utensils, taking out trash, and maintaining a sanitary environment under the supervision of the Culinary Manager. Candidates should have a willingness to follow instructions and a background in food safety is preferred. Pay ranges from $16.47 to $23.41 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with proper food safety/sanitary procedures preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and utensils.
• Take out the trash and clean floors for sanitation.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Hours:16hrs

Shift: Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am - 3:30pm

Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Manager Culinary or Operations Manager, Food & Nutrition Services or designee. Principally provides the duties of washing and sanitizing pots / pans / utensils, taking out the trash, cleaning of the floors and general sanitation. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Experience with proper food safety/sanitary procedures are preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $16.47 - USD $23.41 /Hr.
