Pura Vida Miami is seeking a seasoned Kitchen Manager to lead and develop a high-volume kitchen team. You will oversee operations, ensure quality, and uphold safety standards while training staff and managing shifts with a focus on efficiency and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of experience in a food production facility, fast-paced restaurant, or dining service.
• Culinary school certification or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus.
• Local health/safety certs such as Food Handler obtained by the applicant.
• Experience in training and developing kitchen staff.
• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
• Willingness to work weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable using POS and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations and collaborate with managers.
• Supervise and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Foster quality and consistency in menu items.
• Provide training on prep work and presentation techniques.
• Recruit, onboard and retain kitchen staff through motivation and development.
• Delegate tasks and ensure accountability for kitchen and team.
• Direct kitchen staff for effective execution of tasks and policies.
• Maintain compliance with health, fire, and safety regulations.
• Ensure safe work environment through sanitation awareness.
• Contribute to kitchen and restaurant policy development during shifts.
• Fill in as line cook when required.
