Job summary

Chuy's Restaurants in Cookeville, TN, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our scratch-kitchen operations in a high-volume, full-service setting. You will own food cost, waste, production, staffing, HACCP and quality controls while partnering with the Assistant Kitchen Manager to maintain standards.

Bi-lingual Spanish preferring communication with all staff; you will hire, train, and schedule kitchen personnel, ensure equipment works, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of kitchen management in a high-volume scratch kitchen.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred and ability to communicate with all levels.
• Strong culinary knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own accountability for food cost, waste, staffing, HACCP, production, pars, orders, and cleanliness.
• Partner with AKM to run and maintain the kitchen.
• Ensure proper staffing in all kitchen positions.
• Enforce Chuy’s recipes and procedures for quality and safety.
• Oversee pars, inventory, and orders.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and prevent issues.
• Assist in hiring and training with the management team.
• Create kitchen staff schedules and manage costs to minimize waste.
