Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, lead culinary staff, manage food safety, inventory, and costs, and collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to maintain quality and profitability.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on style, experience with line cooking and sanitation standards, ServSafe certification preferred, and the ability to train staff and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working on a full service line is required.
• Experience in a leadership position is desired.
• Strong working knowledge of current culinary techniques and sanitation standards.
• ServSafe certification.

Responsabilités

• Train and develop a high-performing kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers.
• Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities and provide feedback to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Address disciplinary issues when necessary.
• Maintain routine kitchen maintenance and cleanliness.
• Ensure enough staff are scheduled to cover shift needs and manage real time staffing based on business volume.
• Assist in execution of events.
• Be an active contributor for new menu items and culinary techniques while upholding Big Grove standards.
