Reports to: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic kitchen manager whose primary focus will be on executing culinary and kitchen operations. Our goal is to provide consistent execution and results for each guest. The kitchen manager will lead all daily kitchen operations at the restaurant and ensure that food safety and sanitation are upheld to the highest standards.

Position: Kitchen Manager
Reports to: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic kitchen manager whose primary focus will be on executing culinary and kitchen operations. Our goal is to provide consistent execution and results for each guest. The kitchen manager will lead and drive all daily kitchen operations at the restaurant and will ensure that food safety and sanitation are upheld to the highest standards.

Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions
Hospitality to our Guests
  • Understands our culture and creates a positive and memorable guest experience.
  • Has a thorough understanding of kitchen-specific positions and culinary techniques (e.g., fry, grill, toast, sauté, assembly, expo).
  • Oversees all aspects of kitchen and food preparation, ensuring dishes meet quality standards through regular taste and quality checks.
  • Ensures meals are safe for guests with allergies and intolerances, following company policies.
  • Develops and manages kitchen budgets, monitors expenditures, and seeks cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Manages inventory and orders supplies as needed.
  • Retains, trains, supervises, and schedules kitchen staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Maintains a clean and organized kitchen environment, handles inspections, and addresses health code violations promptly.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborates with management to plan special events.
  • Assists team members and supports guest service as needed.
Hospitality to your Team
  • Arrives on time, well-groomed, and prepared for work.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
  • Completes assigned tasks and duties.
  • Supports fellow team members to uphold high standards of food and hospitality.
Hospitality to the Restaurant
  • Inspects and maintains cleanliness and safety in kitchen and storage areas.
  • Assists in tasks to keep the restaurant clean, sanitized, and safe.
  • Works with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience as Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef, or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bilingual candidates in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole are encouraged to apply.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene certification is required.
