Job summary

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned, chef-driven food service management company specializing in K-12 school lunch programs. We are seeking a Lead Foodservice Worker to supervise a kitchen team, assist with food preparation, service, and cleanup in a weekday school setting.

Join a team focused on nutritious, chef-created meals while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and a positive work environment. Mon-Fri 6am-2pm with guaranteed hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Able to follow spoken and written directions.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to the team and oversees completion of tasks.
• Trains and guides staff on duties, food safety, sanitation, and customer service.
• Prepares and builds food items following standardized recipes.
• Sets up condiments and utensil areas for the team.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

• Schedules and assigns work assignments to the team and oversees completion of tasks
• Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety, and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc.
• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
• Setting the team up for success by preparing the condiments and utensil areas
• Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes work stations
• Contributing to a positive work environment
• Demonstrating integrity, dependability, and punctuality
• Maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent guest service
• Following food safety requirements/guidelines
• Assists in daily paperwork, ordering and other related tasks
• Other tasks assigned by the leadership team
