Job summary

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned, chef-driven K-12 school food service leader seeking a Lead Foodservice Worker to supervise a daytime kitchen team and ensure safe, fresh meals for students in a school setting.

This weekday shift 6am-2pm offers steady hours, uniforms provided, daily lunch, and opportunities for growth within a supportive culture of inclusion.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a related role preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Able to follow spoken and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to the team and oversees task completion.
• Trains staff on duties, food safety, sanitation, and guest service.
• Prepares items according to recipes and directions.
• Sets up condiments and utensil areas for service.
• Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes work stations.
• Contributes to a positive work environment.
• Maintains professional appearance and punctuality.
• Follows food safety requirements/guidelines.
• Assists in daily paperwork, ordering and related tasks.
• Other tasks assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

• Schedules and assigns work assignments to the team and oversees completion of tasks
• Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety, and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc.
• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
• Setting the team up for success by preparing the condiments and utensil areas
• Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes work stations
• Contributing to a positive work environment
• Demonstrating integrity, dependability, and punctuality
• Maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent guest service
• Following food safety requirements/guidelines
• Assists in daily paperwork, ordering and other related tasks
• Other tasks assigned by the leadership team
