Job summary

Compass Group USA's Levy division is seeking a kitchen assistant to maintain clean and orderly kitchen work areas and equipment. You will help ensure sanitation standards and support daily food service operations in our venues.

The role focuses on cleaning duties, equipment operation, and assisting with banquet setups and the timely delivery of supplies, under the guidance of the kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assist with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Comply with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
