Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform key food preparation duties, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You will order ingredients, train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders, and uphold quality and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

As a Kitchen Leader, you will model teamwork, keep the kitchen orderly and well stocked, and support both back-of-house and front-of-house teams to deliver a great customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent not required; prior restaurant experience preferred.
• Must be able to understand and communicate in the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food to order following Chipotle procedures.
• Monitor inventory and maintain food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Foster teamwork between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and the kitchen remains clean and organized.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior Crew members.
