Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader who will learn to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables, ensuring delicious outputs. You will order food, train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders, and promote teamwork for an exceptional customer experience.

As a Kitchen Leader, you’ll ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and proper stock; mentor Crew, manage throughput, and support both back and front of house operations to maintain high dining standards.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping to order.
• Monitor food waste and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair issues promptly.
• Ensure that the kitchen and Crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventory procedures.
