Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You’ll train others to become future Kitchen Leaders while ensuring food quality and safety in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, a strong customer experience, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen with well-maintained equipment. A high school diploma and restaurant experience are required, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.
• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house crews.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety guidelines are met for all staff and operations.
• Fill out MSDS and FIFO inventories.
