Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and perform food preparation, grilling, and sautéing while training future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure quality, safety, cleanliness, stocking, and proper equipment maintenance, while serving as a role model for Crew and promoting teamwork to deliver a great customer experience.

You will lead by example, stay busy on your station, and help teammates meet goals, with a strong focus on standard operating procedures and guest service.

Qualifications

• Understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the work location’s primary language(s).
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, resolving quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized properly.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is maintained and repaired quickly.
• Ensure kitchen and Crew comply with safety guidelines to avoid injuries.
• Complete MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
