Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while ensuring quality and safety. You will train crew, manage orders, and promote teamwork to deliver a great guest experience.

This role emphasizes maintaining high food standards, keeping the kitchen clean and stocked, and helping Crew develop into future Kitchen Leaders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
• Have a high school diploma
• Have restaurant experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great service and throughput
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is maintained and repaired as needed
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries or accidents
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
