Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a Kitchen Leader to oversee kitchen staff and ensure daily goals are met, while maximizing guest satisfaction and maintaining a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in‑house training.
• Must be able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with Kitchen Manager to ensure budgeted expenses are within limits and identify improvements.
• Keeps General Manager/Kitchen Manager informed of problems and proposes solutions.
• Maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Monitors food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce food-borne illness risk.
• Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Ensures clear communication with vendors of equipment and supplies.
• Performs walk-throughs and temperature checks in the kitchen.
• Assists in ordering food, produce, liquor and restaurant supplies.
• Assists in receiving deliveries and checks paperwork for stock receipt.
• Performs and can assist in all kitchen operations.
