Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Michigan is seeking a Kitchen Leader to learn and supervise food prep, grill meats, and sauté vegetables while upholding quality and safety standards. You'll mentor Crew and ensure stock, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance to deliver delicious meals.

You’ll lead by example, communicate with back- and front-of-house teams, drive throughput, and support a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Restaurant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair; fixing malfunctioning equipment as quickly as possible.
• Ensuring that the kitchen and all Crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents.
• Filling out MSDS and FIFO records.
