Job summary

CHOPT Creative Salad Co. in Beachwood, Ohio is seeking a Kitchen Lead to support restaurant operations, uphold food safety standards, and lead a fast-paced kitchen team on the line.

You will participate in early opening prep and coordinate with Back-of-House staff to ensure smooth service. The role requires strong communication, basic math, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• DOH/ServSafe certification and any required city/state food safety certifications
• Possess basic mathematical and quantitative skills
• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• Capability to move or transport items up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work flexible shifts, especially early mornings
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and employees
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities
• Skill in using a computer and/or tablet

Responsibilities

• Upholding and protecting CHOPT’s food quality and safety standards in the kitchen and on the line; initiating corrective actions with employees as needed
• Working alongside Back-of-House team to execute food prep and set up the line
• Participating in early opening shift functions; initiating prep activities before management arrives
• Managing portion control through daily grab tests and reporting results to GM/AGM
• Providing support to the General Manager in ordering, receiving product, inventory, and reviewing pars
• Leading and communicating all pertinent food prep information during LTO roll-outs
