CHOPT Creative Salad Co. in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Kitchen Lead to uphold food quality and safety standards while guiding Back-of-House operations. You will lead prep, line setup, and early opening tasks to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities include monitoring portions, assisting with ordering and inventory, and communicating prep details during menu changes. The role demands teamwork, adaptability, and reliable early-morning availability.

Qualifications

• DOH/ServSafe certification and any required city/state food safety certifications.
• Possess basic mathematical and quantitative skills.
• Manual dexterity to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
• Capable of moving or transporting items up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work flexible shifts, especially early mornings.
• Able to communicate clearly with customers and employees and exchange information.
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities.
• Capable with a computer/tablet.

Responsibilities

• Uphold CHOPT’s food quality and food safety standards in kitchen and on the line; initiate corrective actions with employees as needed.
• Work with Back-of-House team to execute food prep and set up the line before service.
• Participate in early opening shifts and prep activities before MOD arrives.
• Manage portion control through daily grab tests and report results to GM/AGM.
• Support the General Manager with ordering, receiving, inventory, and reviewing pars.
• Lead and communicate all food prep information during LTO roll-outs.
