Job summary

CHOPT Creative Salad Co. in Florham Park, NJ is seeking a Kitchen Lead to uphold CHOPT’s food quality and safety standards while coordinating line prep and early shift setup for smooth service.

You’ll lead a back-of-house team, manage portion control, and communicate prep details during LTO roll-outs, supporting the GM with ordering, receiving, and pars. Qualifications

• DOH/ServSafe certification and any required city/state food safety certifications
• Possess basic mathematical and quantitative skills
• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• Capability to occasionally move or transport items up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work flexible shifts and schedules, especially early morning hours
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and employees and accurately exchange information
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities
• Skill in using a computer and/or tablet

Responsibilities

• Uphold CHOPT food quality and safety; initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with Back-of-House to prep and set up line before service.
• Participate in early opening shifts; start prep before MOD arrives.
• Manage portion control with daily grab tests; report findings to GM/AGM.
• Support GM with ordering, receiving, inventory and pars.
• Lead and communicate prep info during LTO roll-outs
