Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC has an immediate opening for a Fire Suppression Service Technician. This role focuses on inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing kitchen hood fire suppression systems to ensure reliability and code compliance.

The technician will perform inspections per NFPA 17 and NFPA 96, and coordinate with clients for scheduling and improvements. Responsibilities include routine maintenance of suppression system components, testing and charging cylinders, troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire suppression systems including kitchen hood systems per NFPA 17, NFPA 96 and applicable codes.
• Perform routine maintenance on cylinders, nozzles, release mechanisms, and control panels per NFPA standards and manufacturer specs.
• Test and recharge agent cylinders ensuring proper pressurization and correct extinguishing agent.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues such as leaks or pressure problems and implement NFPA-compliant fixes.
• Repair and replace components to maintain NFPA compliance and operation.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule visits and communicate recommendations for system improvements per NFPA requirements.
• Inspect and maintain gas cylinders, perform hydrostatic testing, re-filling and reinstallation per NFPA standards.
