Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook in Morgantown, WV to prepare meals according to approved menus and residents’ dietary needs. The role includes supervising dietary staff in the Dining Services Director's absence and ensuring a clean, safe kitchen.

The position requires experience in dining services, Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes while considering residents' dietary needs.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, orderly kitchen and monitor temperatures and sanitation.
• Record temperatures and assist in training new dietary staff.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
