Job summary

At Sodexo, a Utility Worker is needed to support kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas. Duties include cleaning equipment, utensils, floors, and storage spaces; transporting and storing supplies; and assisting with basic setup and break-down tasks as directed.

The role may vary by account and client needs. Qualifying candidates typically hold a High School diploma or GED, have knowledge of sanitation

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes by hand or in a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies like soap and paper towels.
• Significant walking or other mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods during a shift.
