Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Utility Worker in Seattle to support kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas.

The role involves cleaning equipment, floors, walls, storage spaces, and assisting with setup/breakdown tasks. Open availability and varying shifts help meet client needs, with a full-time schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic food safety concepts.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes by hand or using a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment with required chemicals to maintain sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies such as soap and paper towels.
• Walk or move around the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to stand for long shifts up to and beyond 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attend shifts on time and perform other duties as assigned.
