Job summary

NEXTBEAT SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is hiring for a hands-on kitchen role at ION Orchard. The position offers an hourly salary of $12–$15 with shift-based hours in a dynamic opening-team environment.

The role requires strong cooking skills, teamwork, and a growth mindset to develop into a kitchen leader overseeing back-of-house operations. Candidates will work in a fast-paced, hygiene-conscious setting with opportunities to advance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fried dishes (tempura, deep-fried items).
• Prepare soups (miso soup, fish stock soup, and other Japanese soups).
• Prepare chawanmushi, salads, side dishes, and desserts.
• Handle ingredient preparation and mise en place.
• Manage inventory and ingredient ordering.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP compliance.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and care.

Nice-to-Have:

• Cooking experience in any type of restaurant or food establishment
• Experience in Japanese cuisine
• Food safety knowledge or certifications
• Inventory or cost management experience
