Job summary

The St. Joe Company is seeking a dependable Kitchen Assistant to help maintain a clean and efficient kitchen area in our Panama City facility. You will assist the Cook with meal ingredient prep, wash and store utensils, and support daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include sanitizing prep areas, sweeping and mopping floors, unloading deliveries, labeling and organizing coolers, and performing a weekly deep clean. A customer-friendly demeanor and basic English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English (preferred).
• Detail-oriented and thorough, consistently performing work to high standards.
• Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and equipment.
• Knowledge of food and health safety regulations and proper follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
• Clean and sanitize all food prep areas according to hygiene standards.
• Wash and store cooking appliances, utensils, boards and dishes properly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and wipe kitchen walls.
• Assist with unloading delivered food supplies.
• Organize and label and store food supplies correctly.
• Maintain a clean and organized cooler with proper labeling.
• Perform a weekly deep clean and handle trash disposal.
