The St. Joe Company is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant at Hotel Indigo in Panama City, FL 32401. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and the dishwashing area while ensuring compliance with all policies.

You will assist with meal prep, clean and sanitize prep areas, wash and store utensils, sweep and mop floors, assist with deliveries, organize supplies, move ingredients as directed, and perform weekly deep cleans. Must lift up to 50 lbs; basic English preferred.

• Knowledge of food and health safety regulations with the ability to follow food and health safety regulations properly and diligently.
• Ability to solve problems independently.

Responsabilités

• Assisting the Cook with preparation of meal ingredients (washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, chopping).
• Sanitizing all food prep areas according to hygiene standards.
• Washing and storing cooking appliances, utensils, and dishes.
• Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors; wiping walls.
• Assisting with unloading delivered food supplies.
• Organizing and storing food supplies.
• Transferring meal ingredients to the kitchen as instructed by the Cook.
• Maintaining a clean, labeled cooler.
• Performing weekly deep clean to ensure cleanliness and sanitization.
• Removing and disposing trash.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The role of Kitchen Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operations of the dishwashing while ensuring the compliance with all company and department policies.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Assisting the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat
• Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
• Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes
• Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls
• Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies
• Organizing and correctly storing food supplies
• Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Cook's instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized cooler with proper labeling methods for its contents
• Performing a weekly deep clean to ensure cleanliness and sanitization of area
• Removing and disposing trash
• All other duties as assigned
