Job summary

The St. Joe Company is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Hotel Indigo Panama City, FL to support dishwashing and kitchen operations while following all safety and hygiene standards.

The role involves assisting with food prep, cleaning and sanitizing prep areas, storing items properly, and helping unload deliveries in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment. Prior kitchen or stewarding experience is preferred; a food handler license may be required.

Qualifications

• Able to read product labels and communicate with guests about job-related needs.
• Experience in kitchen or stewarding preferred but not required.
• Food handler license/certification may be acquired after employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cook with preparation of meal ingredients (wash, clean, peel, cut, chop).
• Clean and sanitize all food prep areas per hygiene standards.
• Wash and store cooking appliances, utensils, and equipment properly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and wipe walls.
• Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries.
• Transfer ingredients from storage to kitchen as instructed.
