Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is hiring a Multiple Subject Teacher in Oakland. This full-time exempt role centers on designing engaging lessons, using data to guide instruction, and creating a joyful, inclusive classroom community with SEL and Restorative Practices.

You will collaborate with your Leadership Team and receive ongoing coaching to strengthen practice, with a strong commitment to equity and anti-racism in our schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution (required).
• Eligible for General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit; CPR certification prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management strategies to ensure safety, belonging, and high expectations for all students.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build strong partnerships.
• Engage fully in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
