Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a kindergarten/elementary teacher for the 2026-27 school year in Oakland, CA. You will design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a joyful, inclusive classroom with restorative practices and SEL.

You will collaborate with your leadership team and instructional coach, participate in weekly coaching, and engage in ongoing professional development to strengthen your practice and support student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (required).
• Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject of your desired role, or be eligible for General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit (CPR certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross prerequisite).

Responsibilities

• Design engaging lessons and use data to guide instruction.
• Create a classroom where every student learns and thrives, integrating SEL and Restorative Practices.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team and Instructional Coach to grow teaching practice.
• Engage in weekly meetings, coaching, and feedback for ongoing development.
• Communicate with families and colleagues to build strong partnerships.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in weekly professional development.
