Job summary

Edmonds School District seeks a Paraeducator I to support Kindergarten classrooms and supervise lunch periods. The role collaborates with certificated staff, prepares materials, and helps monitor student progress, behavior, and safety.

Shift is 3.0 hours/day across an 181-day calendar, with non-exempt status and hourly compensation on the district salary schedule. Training and state health benefits are included for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must meet one of the following: associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits/48 semester credits, completed paraeducator apprenticeship, or PESB approved assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional support and student supervision in classrooms or learning environments.
• Prepare educational materials and monitor students' progress, behavior, and safety.
• Perform routine clerical tasks to support teachers and district staff.
