Job summary

Leman Academy of Excellence in Parker, CO is seeking a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant to support teachers in delivering a classical education approach. The role includes prep work, small/large group support, and careful supervision to maintain a safe, structured classroom environment.

The successful candidate will assist with materials, assessments, and student records, while upholding Miss Mason’s educational philosophy and the school’s high standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or higher degree preferred.
• Passing score on ParaPro assessment.
• Co State and FBI fingerprinting clearance.
• First Aid and CPR certification desired.
• Willingness to learn the Classical model and Miss Mason’s philosophy.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to health, safety, and excellence in education.

Responsibilities

• Support learning environment and enforce classroom rules.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources.
• Provide instructional support to scholars using various teaching methods.
• Supervise scholars in hallways, during drops-off, lunch, and pickup.
• Read aloud to classes or groups.
• Administer formative assessments and maintain records.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
• Attend professional development as requested.
• Assist with inventory of classroom materials.
• Demonstrate professional and team-oriented behavior.
