Job summary

Leman Academy Of Excellence East Campus seeks a part-time ESS Teacher Assistant to support classroom instruction in the classical education model. You will assist the teacher with differentiation, manage routines, and supervise students during transitions.

This role emphasizes safety, strong communication, and collaboration with staff, families, and scholars. Prior ParaPro, first aid/CPR, and fingerprint clearance are desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• An Associate's or higher degree or 60 credit hours completed.
• Passing score on skills assessment (ParaPro).
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card / Background clearance.
• First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Willingness to learn the Classical model and Miss Mason’s philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Support learning environment and enforce classroom rules.
• Prepare and provide instructional materials aligned with classical education.
• Provide instructional support to scholars in various group settings.
• Supervise scholars during hallways, drop-off, lunch, and pickup.
• Read books to classes or small groups.
• Administer approximations and maintain scholar records as directed.
• Assist in preparing scholars for later grades and encourage perseverance.
• Support teachers in enforcing policies and safety.
• Instruct and monitor use of equipment and materials for safety.
• Attend professional development as requested by administration.
