Job summary

Sylvania in Utah is seeking an Aide – Basic to support kindergarten instruction on a part-time schedule. The role involves assisting teachers with activities, working with students individually or in small groups, and helping maintain classroom organization and materials.

You will monitor students across classrooms and common areas, communicate progress to teachers, follow safety rules, and participate in district-required trainings.

Qualifications

• Proficient with standard office equipment and software.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
• Support classroom instructional activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and instructional materials under supervising teacher.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and assist with assignments.
• Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under teacher supervision.
• Maintain classroom work areas, equipment, and records to support instructional activities.
• Monitor students in classrooms, playgrounds, hallways, and lunch areas.
• Communicate with teachers and staff regarding student progress and observations.
• Report incidents involving student behavior, safety concerns, or accidents to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to emergency situations involving students and ensure appropriate assistance is provided.
• Attend meetings and training sessions related to job responsibilities.
• Support classroom teachers and school personnel with instructional and organizational tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
