The Michaels Companies Inc. in Davenport, FL is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and execute children’s parties and in-store events, delivering a fun, creative experience for guests.

You’ll help customers shop, manage checkouts, enroll in rewards, and support store operations from stocking to safety. This role involves variable hours, weekends, and evenings to meet event needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the Davenport Michaels store, including children’s birthday parties and craft events.
• Engage clients of all ages in a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants, including face painting and activities.
• Coordinate event add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback; create backup plans.
• Ensure client satisfaction and maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist customers with shopping, product location, and checkout.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; enroll customers.
• Support BOPIS and Ship From Store processes; participate in stocking and planograms.
• Maintain store cleanliness; support safety and shrink programs.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling; follow SOPs and company policies.
• Interact respectfully with guests and team members; reflect company values.
