Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking team members to plan, coordinate, and facilitate events in Davenport, FL. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure fast checkout experiences while maintaining store standards and safety.

Responsibilities include party planning, event execution, and cross-selling Michaels Rewards and Private Label programs. Ideal candidates bring energy, strong communication, and experience with children?s events; cross-trained in framing sales is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to plan and coordinate multiple events.
• Experience with children’s events is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at Michaels stores (e.g., children’s parties, craft classes).
• Engage with guests of all ages, create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide participants through crafts and activities; perform face painting.
• Coordinate add-ons (balloons, goody bags) and communicate events with customers and store team.
• Assist customers, help locate products, and provide fast, friendly checkout experiences.
• Complete admin tasks (emails, calls, paperwork) and ensure store standards and safety.
