Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an Event Coordinator at our Grand Forks, ND location to plan and run kids’ birthday parties and craft events within the store. You will help customers shop, lead activities, and coordinate add-ons while maintaining store standards.

You’ll engage a diverse customer base, manage multiple events, and perform merchandise and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth guest experience. This role emphasizes teamwork and in-store safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
