Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Grand Forks, ND is hiring a Part-time Event Host to plan, coordinate and run in-store events, including kids' birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage with guests of all ages, guide activities, handle face painting, and sell add-ons while ensuring a friendly, safe, and creative experience.

You will also manage logistics, communicate with clients and store teams, complete paperwork, and adapt plans based on feedback, maintaining cleanliness and safety

Qualifications

• Energetic and engaging personality suitable for all ages.
• Excellent people skills and clear communication abilities.
• Experience planning or running children’s events preferred.
• Ability to organize activities and solve on-the-spot issues.
• Retail or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the Michaels store, including kids' parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants; perform face painting and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team; complete administrative tasks.
• Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event; ensure safety and cleanliness.
