The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Event Coordinator in the Arlington, TX area. The role involves planning and delivering engaging in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, while delivering friendly customer service and a fast checkout experience.

You will coordinate crafts, face painting, and event add-ons, work with guests of all ages, and support omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS. Join a team focused on cleanliness, safety, and brand promises.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have excellent people skills and strong communication abilities.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the Michaels store, including children’s birthday parties and other classes.
• Demonstrate crafts and instruct participants; perform face painting and activities.
• Facilitate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards and communicate events to clients and staff.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and assist customers in finding products and solutions.
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; explain VOC surveys.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS, Ship From Store) and stock/POG routines.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and adherence to SOPs; be a positive role model.
