Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator for our STATE COLLEGE, PA location. You will plan and coordinate children’s birthday parties and in-store events, engaging guests of all ages while delivering friendly customer service throughout the shopping journey.

You will manage activities from planning to execution, including crafts, face painting, and event add-ons, while handling administrative tasks and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Qualifications

• Plan and coordinate events including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Direct participants in crafts and activities, including face painting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in store locations.
• Engage with shoppers and children, ensuring a positive experience.
• Assist with event add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per standards.
• Answer emails, make calls, and handle paperwork.
• Set up, run, and clean up before/after events.
