Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Store Event Coordinator in STATE COLLEGE, PA to plan and execute in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage guests, guide participants, and ensure a fun, safe, and creative experience while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, managing checkouts, restocking, and supporting omni-channel processes.

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality with the ability to engage guests of all ages.
• Excellent people skills and effective communication in written and verbal form.
• Experience working with children and children's events.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and facilitate events within the Michaels store.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and assist guests in-store.
• Handle checkout, truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties.
• Instruct and engage party participants during events and activities.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; follow up via emails/phone as needed.
• Assist with Rewards, VOC surveys, and omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
