Job summary

Frederick Community College is seeking a Kids on Campus Assistant for Summer 2027 to help support the Youth Programs and instructors, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for children ages 8–16.

The position is part-time with a fixed schedule, working 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, not exceeding 35 hours per week. Pay rate is $16.39 hourly, with applications submitted online.

Position Summary

The Youth Programs Assistant provides in-class support for the Kids on Campus summer program. This position works directly with children ages 8–16 in a diverse, inclusive, and multicultural educational environment, assisting instructors and staff to ensure a safe and engaging learning experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist classroom instructors and program staff as needed.

5. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.2. Ability to lift up to 18 pounds.

1. Previous experience working with children in formal or informal educational settings.2. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both children and adults.

Work Schedule

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The schedule will vary, based on enrollment and job duties. The position will not exceed 35 hour per week.
