Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Grosse Pointe, MI. Lead interactive chess classes for elementary students, using our structured curriculum and ensuring a fun, supportive learning environment.

You'll teach 1–5 classes per week in local schools, with classes typically between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The role offers flexible hours, full training, and mileage reimbursement for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in teaching, tutoring, coaching, or similar roles.
• Ability to lead a class independently while keeping sessions engaging and kid-friendly.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students at local schools.
• Use structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals and sportspmanship.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity; encourage problem-solving.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session and arrive prepared.
